About Barbee

Barbee Engineered Testing Systems evolved from Barbee Valve & Supply Inc. a small Industrial Distributorship founded in 1960, by Jack Barbee, a retired Naval Officer who engaged in doing business with the local Naval Shipyards in San Diego, as well as a growing Aerospace Industry. Barbee’s focus was with Industrial & Military Spec Valves, Pneumatic Hoists, and Aircraft Tools.

In May 1980, Jack Barbee decided to retire and sold the business to Bill Wilkinson, a local Southern California businessman and a USC Alumnus. Bill’s focus was to grow Barbee by venturing into other areas of industrial distribution. Along with his staff of engineers, Barbee started building Valve Testers for the Navy and local Shipyards. By the early 90’s Barbee’s presence was known to valve manufacturers and repair shops and it’s market share for affordable, quality-built testers grew exponentially.

Barbee’s focus has been building custom built test stands with the customer’s specific needs, whether it is a small portable valve tester, or a large, 2000-ton tester that weighs over 85,000 lbs, we can accommodate you!
